Available Medical Plans
UC offers an assortment of HMO, PPO, HRA with PPO, and
point-of-service medical plans from which to choose.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a choice of plans if you are eligible
for Full or Mid-level
Benefits. Employees eligible for Core
Benefits enroll in the Core Medical Plan, a fee for service
plan.
- If you are a new employee;
- if you have a new family member;
- if you are a newly eligible employee;
- if you have lost other group insurance
- after your period of initial eligibility ends.
Choosing a Plan
Use these tools to help you choose the right UC-sponsored
plan for you and your family:
- The Medical Plan Comparison provides information about how various types of plans (HMOs, PPOs, etc.) work.
- The Medical Plan Chooser allows you to compare UC-sponsored medical plans based on criteria important to you.
- If you have further questions, see the medical plans websites, your Benefits Office or the person in your department who handles benefits.
Behavioral Health
Benefits
UC's medical benefits include behavioral health benefits,
which are provided by United Behavioral Health (UBH).
Terminating Enrollment
If you leave
UC employment or your child
turns 23.
