A workgroup of Web developers, IT managers, and ADA compliance officers from several University of California campuses and the Office of the President created this site to provide UC Web developers

• clear guidance on technical standards for Web site accessibility, and
• recommendations for resources and tools that are useful for making Web content accessible.

Development of this resources Web page is part of a larger initiative that the UC IT Leadership Council (ITLC) is sponsoring to propose and implement Universitywide policy on Accessibility in the Electronic Environment. A high-level policy review group has been formed to develop policy language and promote the accessibility initiative throughout the University.
